A 63-YEAR-old woman was injured after she was attacked by a crocodile while using the bathroom of their stilt house in Panglima Sugala, Tawi-Tawi, according to reports.
Authorities said the crocodile surfaced near the structure and lunged at the woman, who sustained severe injuries to her left arm. She is now being treated at a nearby hospital.
Local officials have launched a search operation to locate the crocodile responsible for the attack. They again urged residents to observe heightened caution, noting that similar incidents were reported in the same area earlier this year.
On April 1, a fisherman survived after a crocodile attacked him while he was out at sea. Another fisherman was injured on April 2 after a crocodile grabbed him while he was gathering seaweeds, but he managed to escape by striking the animal with a paddle.
