A 51-YEAR-old food vlogger died after allegedly consuming a toxic crab locally known as “devil crab” in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
The victim was identified as one Emma, who had even posted a video of herself cooking the seafood in coconut milk and eating her catch on Feb. 4.
According to reports, Emma collapsed in her home a day after eating the seafood.
Neighbors said her condition worsened and that she reportedly suffered convulsions.
She was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on Feb. 6.
Authorities said she may have ingested a type of crustacean carrying dangerous neurotoxins, commonly referred to as “devil crab.”
Local officials reminded residents to exercise caution and avoid eating unidentified or potentially poisonous seafood to prevent similar incidents.
