FRIENDS of vlogger Boy Tapang have come forward to defend him following his arrest on Tuesday for allegedly physically assaulting his girlfriend in Cebu.
On Facebook, a certain Chulz Tapang confirmed that Boy Tapang, whose real name is Ronie Suan, was indeed arrested and jailed—but not for hurting his partner.
Sad reality,” he wrote.
He also criticized those who quickly judged the vlogger, urging people to wait for the full story.
Expressing his support for Suan, he wrote, “I stand with you, par.
Reports from online news sites, however, state that Suan was arrested past 1 a.m. Tuesday in Alcoy, Cebu after his live-in partner, Cristina, 21, sought police assistance, alleging that the vlogger had turned her into a punching bag.
Authorities conducted a hot-pursuit operation, leading to Suan’s arrest. He is now facing charges for violating Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.
