CHRISTOPHER Mayani, one of Pangasinan’s most prominent food vloggers, has died.
Reports said Mayani passed away on Feb. 12 after reportedly suffering cardiac arrest, just hours before the scheduled opening of his café.
Mayani was widely known for championing local cuisine and producing content that showcased homegrown dishes, many of them proudly Pangasinense. His engaging videos earned him a loyal following and established him as one of the region’s most influential food content creators.
In the Philippine Vlogger Circle rankings, Mayani placed 24th in 2024 and 30th in 2025.
He and his family had been preparing to open a café in San Fabian, Pangasinan, a dream that supporters say reflected his passion for promoting local flavors.
Friends, fellow content creators, and supporters expressed grief online, thanking him for celebrating Pangasinan’s culinary heritage and for the joy he brought through his content.
