A MAN is in critical condition after he was bitten by a cobra that had entered their home unnoticed, police said on Tuesday.
The incident happened as the victim and his young nephew failed to spot the venomous snake inside their residence in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato.
The cobra first attacked the boy, prompting him to call out to his uncle for help. While searching for the snake, the uncle was bitten on the leg.
Both were rushed to a nearby hospital. The child was immediately administered anti-venom and is now in stable condition. His uncle, however, remains confined in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Residents later found and killed the cobra.
