VOTING was temporarily disrupted at Rodolfo Medel Elementary School in Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City on Monday after a swarm of bees stung dozens of voters.
Reymond Vallente of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) said a beehive fell from a tree near the voting area at around 10 a.m., causing panic among voters in line.
Around 50 individuals were affected, with at least 30 receiving assistance from the Philippine Red Cross.
Some voters, especially senior citizens who were stung in the face and head, were visibly shaken and opted to return home.
