HINAMON ni Kabataan party-list Rep. Raoul Manuel si Trade Undersecretary Ruth Castelo sa pagbili ng P500 Noche Buena package.
Ginawa ni Manuel ang hamon matapos igiit ni Castelo na posible pa rin ang P500 budget para makabili ng handa sa Pasko ang limang miyembro ng isang pamilya.
Idinagdag ni Manuel na hindi isinama ni Castelo ang mga sangkap sa sauce gaya ng sibuyas, bawang at paminta.
“To settle this once and for all, we challenge the DTI to host a livestream of them demonstrating how to prepare their 500-peso Noche Buena package, from grocery shopping to cooking preparations, to see if it can actually decently serve a family of five or if they are only duping consumers. Let the poor majority of minimum wage level earners be the judge. Hopefully, the DTI is not betraying its motto of ‘empowering consumers’,” sabi ni Manuel.
