Sharon Cuneta urges public: ‘Let PBBM finish his job before judging him’

MEGASTAR Sharon Cuneta has called on the public to allow President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to complete his work before passing judgment on his leadership, saying the country should remain the top priority.

In a social media post, Cuneta acknowledged that many developments in the Philippines have been negative but stressed the importance of patience and unity.

“So much going on in our country, most of them bad. Let us let the President do his job and complete his work before we allow ourselves to judge him,” she wrote.

“It is our country we need to prioritize now. God bless the Philippines,” she added.

Sharon had teased Marcos over his supposed “wrong” choice of a vice president during a gala event celebrating artists attended by the President and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Thursday night.

Her husband, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, ran against now Vice President Sara Duterte in the 2022 national elections. Duterte won alongside Marcos under the UniTeam banner, although relations between the two leaders have since deteriorated.

During the event, Sharon sang for Marcos and the First Lady and opened her performance with a lighthearted remark, saying there was one thing she did not like about his presidency: she missed the days when she could simply text Araneta-Marcos to ask for bagnet.

The singer also quipped that she only had one vice president: her husband.

“I’ve only one vice president there… my date tonight. Mali your choice noh? Okay, okay let’s move on,” Sharon said.
