Sara Duterte prefers Marcos to finish his term — Bondoc

VICE President Sara Duterte is reportedly against calls for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to resign, according to singer-songwriter and former senatorial aspirant Jimmy Bondoc.

In the latest episode of One PH’s Politika All The Way aired Saturday, December 6, Bondoc said Duterte was displeased when chants of “BBM, resign!” began circulating.

“I think I’m authorized to say this — when the calls for BBM to resign surfaced, she didn’t like it,” Bondoc said.

He added that this runs contrary to public speculation that Duterte is “hungry for power.”

According to Bondoc, the Vice President prefers that Marcos complete his term so the public can witness what he described as the “final Marcos mistake.”

However, Duterte earlier signaled that she is prepared to assume the presidency if necessary, amid corruption controversies and alleged destabilization threats facing the Marcos administration.

“Of course, there’s no question about my readiness,” Duterte said. “I presented myself as a candidate for vice president with the understanding that I am first in the line of succession.”
