SENATOR Robin Padilla reacted to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showing that half of Filipinos believe former president Rodrigo Duterte should be held accountable for the bloody war on drugs.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Oct. 13, Robin clarified that Duterte’s supporters are not against accountability if wrongdoing is proven.
“Gusto ko lamang po liwanagin, wala ni isa sa amin na nagmamahal at nagpapasalamat sa serbisyo ng dating Pangulo Rodrigo Roa Duterte ang nagsasabing hindi siya dapat managot sa Drug War kung siya nga ay may nagawang kasalanan,” he said.
Robin added that Duterte himself has expressed willingness to face any case filed against him but in the Philippines.
“Mismong si Tatay Digong ang nagsasabi, kung may kasalanan siya, handa siyang harapin ito dito sa Pilipinas,” he added.
