PINAYUHAN ng isang pari mula sa Diocese ng Novaliches si Vice President Sara Duterte na sagutin ang mga isyung ibinabato sa kanya ng may dignidad at respeto, lalo na sa taong namayapa na.
“It is important to approach statements that involve desecration of human remains with reverence and respect, especially in the context of Catholic teachings on the dignity of the deceased and the sanctity of life,” ayon kay Father Joel Saballa sa isang panayam sa radyo nitong Linggo.
“The Catholic Church holds that every human being, even in death, deserves respect and dignity, as their bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and vessels of God’s creation,” any pa.
Sinabi pa ng opisyal ng Simbahan na kahit magkaaway, hindi dapat mawalan ng dignidad at respeto sa pakikipaglaban.
“It is essential to remember that even individuals with whom we may have disagreements or conflicts deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, both in life and in death,” dagdag pa nito.
Hinikayat niya rin na magkaroon ng payapang usapan sa gitna ng mga tensyon sa pagitan ng mga kalaban at supporters ng bise presidente.
“In times of controversy or discord, it is crucial to seek solutions through peaceful dialogue, understanding, and reconciliation, rather than through actions that promote further division or hostility,” sabi pa ni Saballa.
Hinikayat din nito ang publiko na papanatiliin ang aral ng Simbahan na maging mapagpatawad at marespeto.
Sa isang press conference noong nakaraang linggo, sinabi ni Duterte na huhukayin niya ang bangkay ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand E. Marcos at itatapon ito sa West Philippine Sea kapag hindi tumigil sa kababanat ang kanyang mga kritiko.
