INIHIRIT ngayon ni Senador Grace Poe na payagan si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos na isuspinde ang nakatakdang pagtataas ng singil ng kontribusyon sa Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth).
Ayon kay Poe, ang suspensyon ng dagdag singil ay makatutulong sa mga PhilHealth members na bugbog na sa mataas na presyo ng bilihin at apektado pa ng pandemya.
“The hike comes at a time when our people continue to grapple with the impact of the pandemic and the soaring prices of basic needs,” ayon kay Poe sa isang kalatas.
“Right now, we must heed their distress call for food to feed their families and jobs to help them get by, with the least burden and utmost support from the government,” dagdag pa nito.
Ang panukala na magbibigay kapangyarihan sa pangulo na suspindihin ang pagtataas ng premium contribution base na rin sa rekomendasyon ng PhilHealth board.
“By giving the President the power and authority to suspend such increases in times of need, we are also providing our countrymen a critical lifeline,” giit pa ni Poe.
Umaasa anya siyang mabibigyan agad ito ng atensyon upang hindi na magtuloy-tuloy ang dagdag singil sa PhilHealth contribution na nagsimula ngayong Hunyo.
