SENATE Pro Tempore Panfilo “Ping” Lacson declared a net worth of over P244 million on Monday, October 20, citing a significant increase from the P58 million he reported at the end of his previous term in 2022.
“When I left the Senate in 2022, along with two business partners, we engaged in some legitimate and successful real estate and trading business activities, hence the substantial spike in my net worth,” Lacson said in a statement sent to reporters.
The senator said his net worth as of June 30, 2022 was P58,771,409.62, while his assets as of June 30, 2025, upon returning to the Senate, reached P244,940,509.60.
Lacson said he would provide additional details in his 2025 Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN), including his income tax returns (ITR) for 2023 and 2024.
He noted that under his 2022 ITR, he paid P4,817,265 in income taxes. His latest ITR for the 2024 taxable year shows he paid P11,834,033.37.
