PBBM unbothered by ‘Meow meow’s’ impeachment plan

PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is unbothered by Cavite Rep. Kiko Barzaga’s plan to file an impeachment complaint against him, saying the Chief Executive remains focused on public service, Malacañang said Thursday.

Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro said it was part of the legislature’s duties to address such matters.

“Makarating o hindi makarating, ito naman po ay trabaho at saklaw po ’yan ng House of Representatives,” she said in a press briefing.

Barzaga earlier claimed corruption stemmed from Malacañang, but Castro dismissed the accusations, saying they lacked evidence.

“Mahirap po kasing magsalita ng walang ebidensya… Kung walang ebidensya, ‘di dapat paniwalaan,” she added.

Castro stressed that the President remains focused on his work.

“Busy ang Pangulo sa pagtulong sa mga kababayan natin, sa pag-angat ng Pilipinas — hindi sa mga ganyang klaseng usapin,” she said.
