Palace: VP Sara may be neglecting duty with frequent foreign ‘lamyerda’

VICE PRESIDENT Sara Duterte may be failing to fulfill her duty to the Filipino people due to her frequent travels abroad, a Palace official said Friday.

Press Officer Claire Castro made the remark when asked whether Duterte had violated any rules after her series of international trips.

“The only thing she might be violating is her obligation to the people,” Castro said.

The Office of the Vice President confirmed Friday that Duterte is in Australia for a personal trip, but gave no details on her departure or return.

Just before this, she had also gone to Malaysia, where she reportedly met with some overseas Filipino workers, again under a personal trip.

Less than a month ago, she was in the Netherlands to celebrate her birthday and visit her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is currently under custody of the International Criminal Court. While there, she also joined a protest calling for his release.
