BUKAS pa rin ang PDP-Laban para kay Senador Manny Pacquiao, hindi para maging pambato ng partido sa pagka-pangulo o pangalawang pangulo.
Ayon kay Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, bukas pa ang senatorial slate ng partido kung nais ni Pacquiao na tumakbo sa ilalim ng PDP-Laban.
Pormal nang pinangalanan ng PDP-Laban ang lima nitong pambato sa Senado sa darating na halalan.
Una sa listahan ay ang nagbabalik-Senador na si Information and Communications Technology Secretary Gregorio Honasan II, Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo, Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Public Works Secretary Mark Villar at House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta (SAGIP partylist).
“As I have said before, it would be best for Sen. Pacquiao to join the senatorial ticket of the PDP-Laban in the 2022 elections. Despite our differences, he remains our member and we would certainly welcome him if he so decides to run for senator under our party,” ayon kay Cusi, pagulo ng PDP-Laban.
