GUMASTOS ang Office of the Vice President ng P375 milyon na confidential funds noong 2023, ayon sa report ng Commission on Audit.
Ito ay tatlong beses na mas mataas sa OVP confidential expenses na naitala noong 2022 na nagkakahalaga ng P125 milyon.
Sa report, sa kabuuang P375,483,600 confidential, intelligence and extraordinary expenses ng tanggapan ni Vice President Sara Duterte, napunta sa confidential expenses ang P375,000,000 habang P483,600 naman sa extraordinary at miscellaneous expenses.
Nakapaloob sa Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) ang confidential funds, na kinabibilangan din ng travelling expenses, training and scholarship, supplies and materials, awards and prizes, professional services, repairs and maintenance, and other expenses.
Ayon sa COA: “confidential expenses pertains to the expenses for the safe implementation of various projects and activities under the Good Governance Program/Socio-economic Program Delivery, and the conduct of official engagements and functional representation in international and domestic events as instructed by the President.”
