TWO members of the House of Representatives drew flak online after they were spotted watching online sabong and a billiards game on their phones during Monday’s session to elect the new House Speaker.
Photos of the two lawmakers, whose faces were not visible, circulated widely, showing them seemingly disengaged from the ongoing proceedings.
Netizens didn’t hold back:
“Pa-tanga ng pa-tanga ang mga politiko natin dito sa Pinas. Bwiset!” said @mondeq.
“The Honorables kapunye-punyeta talaga,” added @LiarsClowns.
Another user, @seavoyager888, chimed in: “Sana ma-identify sila.”
As of writing, the House has not released any official statement on the incident.
