PINAMAMADALI ni Senador Grace Poe ang pagpapaimprenta at delivery ng National ID.
Ayon kay Poe, hindi na umano rasonable ang sobrang tagal nang paghihintay ng publiko bago maibigay sa kanila ang national ID na magagamit nilang valid proof ng kanilang pagkakakilanlan.
Dahil dito, dapat umanong gawan ng paraan ng pamahalaan ang napakatagal na delay sa imprenta at pagdeliver ng mga ID, na tumatagal ng anim na buwan hanggang isang taon.
“The government must address the delays in the printing and delivery of the National ID to provide our people a valid proof of identity in one card. The long wait of six months to over a year to get the ID is unjustifiable,” ayon kay Poe sa isang kalatas.
“The National ID could have been the trusted card used for the speedy distribution of cash aid, fuel vouchers, health benefits, and other basic services that Filipinos desperately need to help tide them over the challenging times,” dagdag pa ni Poe, chair ng Senate committee on public services.
Ayon pa sa senador malaki sana ang maitutulong ng National ID sa mga public at pribadong transaksyon na kadalasan ay naghahanap ng maraming uri ng pagkakakilanlan.
“With more than half of the population registered, the Filipinos have given the program a chance. It’s high time that the government does its share by delivering the National ID to our citizens without further delay,” anya pa.
Sa tala ng Philippine Statistics Administration nitong Disyembre, nasa 50 milyon Filipino na ang nagparehistro para sa National ID.
