HINIKAYAT ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos ang ibang bansa na daanin sa mapayapang paraan ang anumang sigalot na namamagitan sa isa’t isa.
Ito ang mensahe ni Marcos nang magsalita ito sa harap ng United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) sa New York Martes ng hapon (Miyerkules ng madaling araw sa Pilipinas).
“By shepherding the Manila Declaration of 1982, we helped affirm that differences should only be resolved through peaceful means. By reinforcing the predictability and stability of international law, particularly the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, we provided an example of how states should resolve their differences: through reason and through right,” sabi ni Marcos.
Muli ring inulit ni Marcos ang kanyang naunang sinabi na magpapatuloy na kaibigan ang Pilipinas ng lahat at walang magiging kaaway.
“As I have underscored, the Philippines shall continue to be a friend to all, and an enemy of none,” aniya.
