PINAG-AARALAN na ng Department of Justice ang posibleng aksyong legal laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte hinggil sa banta nitong paghukay sa bangkay ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand E. Marcos at itapon ito sa West Philippine Sea.
Ayon kay Justice Secretary Boying Remulla, nilabag ni Duterte ang “moral principle” nang sabihin niya ang mga “disturbing” statements nito noong isang linggo, dahilan para ikonsidera ng ahensiya ang anumang legal action na pwedeng ihain laban sa bise presidente.
“There are many approaches to that, but it desecrates the memory of a person, it desecrates the peaceful state that he must be in, having already passed away, and it disturbs the body,” ayon kay Remulla.
Nakakabahala rin anya ang pag-iisip na ginawa ni Duterte “especially when she holds a very high position.”
“It’s a moral hazard to all of us to be listening to such remarks coming from someone in such a high position in government,” anya.
