INIREKOMENDA ng House Committee on Appropriations na tapyasan ng P1.293 bilyon ang proposed budget ng Office of the Vice President.
Mula sa proposed 2025 budget na P2.037 bilyon, nais ng komite na gawin na lamang itong P733 milyon, ayon kay committee on appropriations senior vice chair at Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo.
Sa press conference, sinabi ni Quimbo na “unanimous” ang naging desisyon ng komite na ilipat ang tinapyas na budget sa dalawang social service programs ng Department of Social Welfare na Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) Department of Health’s (DOH) Medical Assistance to Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients (MAIFIP).
“Yesterday, the Committee on Appropriations decided to recommend a reduced budget for the Office of the Vice President and the reduction shall be split by the DSWD AICS program and the DOH MAIFIP program,” ayon kay Quimbo.
Nauna nang nagpahayag si Vice President Sara Duterte na ayos lamang sa kanya kung walang ibigay na budget sa kanyang tanggapan.
Iginiit naman ni Quimbo na hindi pa naman pinal ang nasabing pagtapyas dahil dadaan pa ito sa plenary deliberation.
