HONEYLET Avanceña and her daughter Veronica “Kitty” Duterte arrived in The Hague, Netherlands, on Tuesday, March 26, but have yet to receive clearance to visit former president Rodrigo Duterte.
Lawyer and “At The Forefront” anchor Karen Jimeno reported the development on Agenda, a program of Bilyonaryo News Channel.
“As of today [March 27], hindi pa rin sila pinapayagan, wala pa silang clearance to visit the [former] president, both Honeylet and Kitty,” Jimeno told host Korina Sanchez-Roxas.
For now, only Duterte’s defense counsel and Vice President Sara Duterte have been allowed to visit him.
The former president is currently detained at the International Criminal Court’s facility, where he is facing trial for alleged crimes against humanity linked to his war on drugs.
