INENDORSO ng ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) ang tandem nina Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go at Pangulong Duterte bilang pangulo at ikalawang pangulo sa 2022 elections.
Kinumpirma ito ni Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, ang bagong presidente ng partido.
“PDP national council in our meeting yesterday agreed to present to the forthcoming national convention the tandem of Go and Duterte for 2022 election,” ani Cusi sa isang panayam.
Klinaro naman ni acting secretary-general Melvin Matibag na maaari pa ring maghirang ng iba pang tandem ang partido.
“There was an endorsement but it will still be discussed during the National Assembly on Sept. 8. Open pa din. But Go-Duterte tandem is the logical and popular choice of the overwhelming members of PDP-Laban,” paliwanag ni Matibag.
Matatandaang sinabi ni Go na tatakbo lang siyang pangulo kung makakatambal niya si Duterte bilang bise presidente.
