First Lady Liza ‘very effective’ in gov’t role — PBBM

PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. praised First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos for her active role in supporting key initiatives of his administration, particularly in infrastructure rehabilitation and heritage conservation.

In his latest podcast episode, Marcos said the First Lady has been instrumental in the restoration and improvement of several old government buildings and museums, including the historic Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

He described her as a determined and hands-on partner who sees projects through to completion. “She just doesn’t let go of something. Once she gets hold of something and decides to do it, she actually gets it done. And she’s very effective,” the President said.

According to Marcos, his wife’s background as a lawyer has been valuable in her work with government programs. “She’s a smart girl. What can I say? Her legal training serves her well,” he added.

The First Lady also leads her own social initiatives aimed at helping underprivileged Filipinos, complementing the government’s broader efforts to uplift communities across the country.
