PUMANAW na si dating Pangulong Fidel Ramos dahil ngayong Linggo, Hulyo 31 dahil sa komplikasyon dulot ng Covid-19.
Siya ay 94.
Si Ramos ay nagsilbi bilang ika-12 pangulo ng bansa mula 1992 hanggang 1998.
Naglabas din ng pahayag ang pamilya Ramos hinggil sa pagpanaw ng dating pangulo.
“The Ramos family is profoundly saddened to announce the passing of former President Fidel Valdez Ramos.
“We thank you all for respecting our privacy, as the family takes some time to grieve together.
We will announce wake and funeral arrangements in the near future,” pahayag nito.
Agad namang nakiramay ang Palasyo sa pagyao ng dating pangulo.
“His legacies will remain in our hearts as the 12th President of the country from 1992 to 1998. He also served as the chief of the Philippine Constabulary and Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines,” sabi ni Press Secretary Trixie Angeles.
