KINUMPIRMA ni Transportation Undersecretary for Railways Cesar Chavez na isa siya sa kinokonsidera na pumalit kay Trixie Cruz-Angeles para maging bagong Press Secretary.
Anya, pinag-iisipan pa rin niya ito.
“I was informed that I am being considered for the position. Yes, I was informed,” pahayag ni Chavez sa panayam ng “Headstart” ng ABS-CBN News.
Itinanggi naman niyang pangalanan kung sino sa Malacanang ang nag-alok sa kanya ng pwesto.
“I’m even surprised to be included in the list. There are more qualified, highly qualified [people] for that position. I expressed no interest in that position,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.
“I am thinking about it, and I am discussing it with my family…I said I did not apply. I said I did not express interest in that, but I’m part of the Marcos administration. I’m a good soldier. I really don’t want to preempt.”
Bago mapabilang sa Gabinete ni Marcos, naging news anchor at station manager ng DZRH si Chavez. Dati rin siyang Chief of Staff ni dating Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
