CAVITE 2nd District Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla has spoken up regarding the legal troubles faced by her husband, former Sen. Bong Revilla.
In a statement posted on social media on Wednesday, Jan. 21, the actress-politician said the cases against her husband are now under judicial review.
“The cases involving my husband, former Senator Bong Revilla Jr., are now under judicial review,” she said, asking the public for understanding, fairness and respect for due process.
Lani also clarified that she has not issued any statement regarding Revilla’s surrender to the Philippine National Police–Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
She added that their family continues to draw strength from their faith and remains hopeful for a fair and just resolution of the case.
Revilla earlier surrendered to authorities following the issuance of an arrest warrant by the Sandiganbayan over graft and malversation charges linked to a flood control project in Bulacan.
