WALANG nakatakdang pakikipagkita si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos sa Filipino community sa China sa gagawing state visit nito sa nasabing bansa sa susunod na linggo.
Ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) hindi na muna makikipagkita si Marcos sa mga Pinoy na nasa China dahil sa banta ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“There will be no meeting between the President and the Filipino community, unfortunately, because of the situation there. You know, it’s too bad but we have to follow the COVID protocols there in China. So, there cannot be any big gatherings which is usually what the President does; when he goes overseas he meets the Filipino community in big gatherings,” sabi ni DFA Assistant Secretary for Asian and Pacific Affairs Nathaniel Imperial.
Idinagdag ni Imperial na magtatakda rin ng isang special facility para doon isasagawa ang isolation sakaling may magpositibo sa delegasyon ni Marcos.
“Our understanding is for the official delegation, there is a special facility for isolation,” aniya.
Nakatakda ang state visit ni Marcos sa China mula Enero 3 hanggang 5, 2023.
