IKINATUWA ng Palasyo ang desisyon ng International Criminal Court (ICC) na itigil muna ang imbestigasyon laban kay Pangulong Duterte kaugnay ng gera niya kontra droga.
Iginiit naman ni Acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles na walang hurisdiksyon ang ICC sa Pilipinas sa kampanya nito kaugnay ng problema sa droga.
Nauna rito isinumite ni Philippine Ambassador Eduardo Malaya ang kahilingan sa ICC na ipagpaliban ang imbestigasyon dahil sa wala umano itong hurisdiksyon.
“In any event, we welcome the judiciousness of the new ICC prosecutor, who has deemed it fit to give the matter a fresh look and we trust that the matter will be resolved in favor of the exhonoration of our government and the recognition of the vibrancy of our justice system.
