TINANGGAL ni Pope Francis si Manila Manila Archbishop Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle bilang pangulo ng Caritas Internationalis (CI), ang ahensya ng Vatican na namamahala sa charity at disaster relief operation na binubuo ng mahigit 100 organisasyon sa buong mundo.
Ang buong liderato ng CI ang sinibak sa pwesto matapos ang isinagawang review sa operasyon ng ahensiya na naiulat na merong mga “deficiencies in management and procedures.”
Dahil dito, pangangasiwaan pansamantala ang CI ng “temporary administrator” bago maghalal ng mga bagong pinuno nito sa susunod na taon.
Papalitan ni Pier Francesco Pinelli si Tagle, base sa decree na inilabas ng Vatican nitong Nobyembre 21. Si Pinelli ay isang Italian management consultant.
“With the entry into force of this measure, members of the Representative Council and the Executive Council, the President and Vice Presidents, the Secretary General, the Treasurer and the Ecclesiastical Assistant shall cease from their respective offices,” ayon sa decree.
