THE family of late Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu has announced plans for an eco-friendly burial, honoring her wish to be returned to nature.
Her sister, Dee Hsu, shared that Barbie’s ashes will be placed in a biodegradable pod at the base of a growing tree, creating a living memorial.
“Yes, we often discuss life and death during our family gatherings. My sister expressed a wish for an environmentally friendly tree burial, so we are currently in the process of applying for this,” Dee said in interviews.
She added that Barbie’s ashes are temporarily kept at home while they wait for approval. “Once the application is approved, we will return her to nature.”
