Singer-songwriters TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan turned their Christmas party into an emotional surprise after giving every member of their Sarili Nating Mundo world tour team a P100,000 cash bonus.
The couple built up the moment by announcing a series of cash prizes, starting with “seven winners of P5,000,” followed by “five winners of P10,000,” “three winners of P20,000,” and “two winners of P50,000,” each met with cheers from the team.
When TJ finally announced “one winner of ₱100,000,” the room erupted, with some staff members shouting, “Thank you, Lord!”
Each crew member was then handed an ampao containing a scratch card, with KZ instructing them to wait before revealing the prize.
“Nasa loob ng ampao ang scratch card, pero pag nakuha niyo na, huwag n’yo munang i-scratch. Sabay-sabay tayo,” she said.
As the countdown began, one team member was heard saying, “Kung kanino man mapunta yung P100K, deserve niya ‘yan,” while another joked, “Lord, minsan lang yung P100K, Lord.”
When the team scratched their cards together, the room exploded in screams and disbelief.
Asked who got the P100,000 prize, everyone raised their hands at once, prompting KZ to ask in shock, “Ha? Kayong lahat?”
TJ then revealed the twist: “Guys, panalo lahat. Happy SNM40!” sending the entire team jumping and cheering in celebration.
The surprise capped off the success of the couple’s “Sarili Nating Mundo” world tour.
