Joyce Pring earns college degree after 15 years

HOST and content creator Joyce Pring has finally earned her college diploma, 15 years after putting her studies on hold due to personal and financial struggles.

Joyce graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication degree from the University of Perpetual Help, sharing the news on Instagram with the caption: “Diploma o diskarte? A testament of God’s faithfulness in my life… a dream 15 years in the making.”

“Sharing with you my story of finishing my undergraduate degree after all these years,” she added.

Joyce graduated salutatorian in grade school, studied at Quezon City Science High School, and was accepted into her dream university as an “Iska” or Iskolar ng Bayan.

But her plans were interrupted by family and financial difficulties. “Sinubok kami ng kapalaran,” she said, and she had to leave school to help support her family.

For 13 years, she built a career in media, becoming a TV and radio host, primarily with GMA Network. “Ginamit ng Panginoon ang talento ko para kumita ng pera… nakatulong ito para bumalik sa stability ang finances at pamilya namin,” she said.

In 2023, her mentor and manager encouraged her to go back to school. She quietly re-enrolled and completed her studies in secret.

Now officially a graduate, she said: “Nakuha ko na ang tinatawag na fruit of labor. Makapasa lang sa thesis, sapat na.”

Pring also thanked the people who helped and inspired her throughout the journey, especially her husband, Kapuso actor Juancho Triviño.
