KAPAMILYA actress Jodi Sta. Maria recently visited the famed Maria Cristina Falls in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte and was visibly moved by the experience.
On Instagram, Sta. Maria shared a short clip of her close encounter with the majestic waterfall, one of the country’s most iconic natural landmarks.
“Grabeeeee. Ang lakas ng water,” she said in the video. “Grabe ang surreal ng moment na ’to for me—na makita ko up close ang Maria Cristina Falls, kasi dati sa history books mo lang siya nababasa.”
She added, “Nakakakilabot ’yung power ng falls.”
Known as the primary source of hydroelectric power in Mindanao, Maria Cristina Falls has long been dubbed the “twin falls” due to a boulder that splits the flow of water into two streams.
