SOCIAL media personality and actress Donnalyn Bartolome recently announced her plan to step away from vlogging, sharing the news with fans in a YouTube episode titled “The Gift Reverse.”
The revelation has drawn significant attention online, given her large following of over 10 million subscribers.
“I never really asked myself what would truly make me happy. Even if I did, it would still involve making others happy,” Bartolome said, explaining that her decision to leave vlogging is a personal gift to herself. “That is my gift to myself,” she added.
The influencer described her departure as a difficult decision, citing the challenge of maintaining authenticity while sharing parts of her life with a wide audience. “There are so many things about me that I can’t share with all of you. Because of that, I can’t be my full, authentic self,” she said.
Bartolome took the opportunity to thank her supporters for their role in her career.
“Because of your support, I was able to provide for my family, help loved ones, and create opportunities for others. I am grateful for each one of you,” she said. She also acknowledged the forgiveness and understanding of fans for her past missteps.
She promised that her final contributions to the platform would still involve the audience.
“I will create 10 more vlogs, and you get to choose the personalities and content you want to see in these last episodes,” she said, giving fans a say in the conclusion of her vlogging journey.
