Here’s a list of movies na pwede mong i-recommend sa kanya — from hilarious, adrenaline- pumping, and heart-achingly painful na for sure ay mai-enjoy ninyo pareho.
Toni Erdmann (2016)
Divorced father and lover of weird pranks Winfried Conradi (Peter Simonischek) decided to want to reconnect with his daughter Ines (Sandra Hüller). Pero Ines is a workaholic at walang time para sa mga shenanigans ng kanyang ama na hindi naman nya ganun ka close. Winfried tried another approach: yun ay pagsusuot ng wig at fake teeth at pagpapakilala sa mga tao sa buhay ng kanyang anak bilang si Toni Erdmann, isang life coach. Though obvious na obvious naman, Ines will slowly realize through her father’s bizarre efforts that there is more to life than a successful career in this German flick.
Somewhere (2010)
Isang sikat na actor si Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff) who’s life is just a routine of schmoozing, drinking and strippers. One day dumating ang kanyang 11-year-old daughter sa kanyang buhay na si Cleo (Elle Fanning). A story of change and what it means to be a father ang take nito.
Taken (2008)
A retired CIA agent who must use all his skills to save his daughter. One of the best films depicting how far a father is willing to go to keep his children safe. Plus, ang kick-ass action dito ay magugustuhan ng tatays nationwide.
He Got Game (1998)
Even if you don’t enjoy sports, ma-eenjoy mo naman ang film na ‘to about basketball directed by well-known director Spike Lee starring Denzel Washington bilang isang convict on parole. Kailangan nyang kumbinsihin ang anak na si Jesus (played by NBA player Ray Allen) para maglaro sa college basketball para tuluyan ng makakalaya.
Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)
Daddy Day Care (2003)
Enjoy a couple of laughs with dad as comedian Eddie Murphy plays a a stay at home dad after losing his job. To combine caring for his son and finding work nagdecide siya na magtayo ng isang day care.
The Pursuit of Happiness (2006)
A classic film about dads by real life father and son Will Smith and Jaden Smith. Warning: Certified tear jerker. (Huwag munang isipin ang nangyari sa Oscars).
Logan (2017)
Superhero flicks are the best at isa sa best father themed movie about a superhero (though some will argue) is 2017’s Logan. What happens when an aging Wolverine suddenly meets a young girl with claws (and inner rage) like him suddenly appears? Isang cool combination ng action at drama that dads will surely enjoy.
Father of the Bride (1991)
Medyo overprotective ba ang tatay mo? Well, best movie for you ang 1991 comedy na Father of The Bride about a dad coming to terms that his little girl is now entering a new phase in her life: marriage.
The Other F Word (2011)
Isang documentary film naman ito tungkol sa members ng Red Hot Chili Peppers at Blink 182 at kung paano ang buhay nila from rebels to punk rockers to being fathers.
Happy Father’s Day to all dads! (Contributed by Djan Magbanua)
