Ivana Alawi to fund treatment, give P100K to ‘Hesus’

KAPAMILYA star and vlogger Ivana Alawi has pledged medical assistance and a P100,000 grant to a homeless man who gave her P10, even though he barely had anything himself.

Ivana met “Kuya Hesus” during a recent social experiment where she posed as a pregnant woman asking for spare money to buy food. The encounter was featured in her latest YouTube vlog, which aimed to see how people treat expectant mothers and whether strangers would still choose to help despite their own struggles.

“Being a mom is very special… Gusto ko lang makita kung paano tinatrato ‘yung mga buntis, kung sino ang may magagandang puso,” she said in the video.

Ivana said she was struck by how many ordinary Filipinos were willing to help her despite having limited means. “Grabe talaga ang mga Filipino… tutulong sila. Nakakatuwa talaga,” she added, noting that many still extend kindness to strangers.

She was especially moved by Kuya Hesus, who offered her P10 even though he had only P15 left. “Saan ka ba makakakita ng ganoon… ibibigay pa ang P10, P5 na lang ang matitira sa kanya,” Ivana said. “Naniniwala ako mabait ang puso ni Kuya Hesus.”

Ivana contrasted his generosity with others who “nagnanakaw ng bilyon-bilyon” yet show little compassion. “Samantalang si Kuya Hesus wala siyang milyon pero tumutulong pa rin siya,” she said.

The actress later returned to give him food, clothes, and the promise of medical treatment for his condition. She also vowed to hand him P100,000 to help him start anew, and appealed to his relatives to coordinate with her team so they can extend further assistance.
