Ganito ilarawan ng publiko ang larawan ng Philippine Eagle na kuha ni dating Department of Education Undersecretary Alain Pascua na may titulo na “Ang Banog” na isinalin sa gintong foil at inukit sa kahon ng ikatlong Seiko Prospex Philippine Limited Edition watch.
Kaugnay nito, nagpasalamat si Pascua sa Seiko Philippines sa pagpili sa kanyang larawan upang gawing disenyo ng kahon na naglalaman ng espesyal na relo.
“Thank you, Seiko Philippines, for considering my photograph Ang Banog to grace the packaging of the third Seiko Prospex Philippine Limited Edition. I understand such packaging brings Seiko watches to another level of presentation. Congrats!” ani Pascua.
Binati rin ng netizens si Pascua sa kanyang tagumpay, pero nasorpresa sila kung bakit hindi sa mismong mukha ng relo inilagay ang imahe ng Haring Ibon.
“Dapat nakalagay po sa loob ng watch yung Agila,” ayon sa isang Facebook user.
“Pero bakit naman sa box lang?” tanong ng isa pa.
Umayon naman dito si Pascua.
“If I were the designer, I would have put the text HARING IBON, THE GREAT PHILIPPINE EAGLE inside the watch, on its face, and/or an stylish illustration or artistic outline of our National Bird. That feature would have rallied the Filipinos more to buy that watch!” aniya.
Kaya ang mensahe ni Pascua sa Seiko: “It’s not yet too late for that Seiko Philippines, you can still do it for another edition! But better be hurry, else Omega, Rolex, Patek Philippe, and other leading brands might get this idea, a great challenge too for Pinoy watch brands to undertake!”
Sa kasalukuyan ay sold out na ang ikatlong Seiko Prospex Philippine Limited Edition na mabibili sa halagang P45,000.
