SEVERAL personalities from the entertainment and sports industries were unable to secure victories in the 2025 midterm elections, based on partial and unofficial results from the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
In the Senate race, popular figures such as Bong Revilla, Willie Revillame, Philip Salvador, Manny Pacquiao, and Jimmy Bondoc failed to break into the top 12.
Dan Fernandez lost his gubernatorial bid in Laguna, while Luis Manzano (Batangas) and Jorge Jerico Ejercito (Laguna) fell short in their vice gubernatorial races. Roi Vinzon also missed the mark in his bid for board member in the 1st District of Benguet.
In congressional races, Marco Gumabao (Camarines Sur, 4th District), Ejay Falcon (Oriental Mindoro, 2nd District), Lino Cayetano (Pateros–Taguig), and Rey Malonzo (Caloocan, 1st District) all trailed behind their rivals.
Mayoral aspirants who lost included Raymond Bagatsing and Sam Verzosa (both in Manila), Philip Cezar (San Juan), Victor Neri (Makati), Emilio Garcia (Bay, Laguna), DJ Durano (Sogod, Cebu), Arnold Vegafria (Olongapo, Zambales), and Bobet Vidanes (Pililla, Rizal).
Also unsuccessful in their vice mayoral bids were Monsour Del Rosario (Makati), Angelika Dela Cruz (Malabon), Anjo Yllana (Calamba, Laguna), and Yul Servo (Manila).
Among those who lost in council races were Ara Mina (Pasig, 2nd District), Shamcey Supsup-Lee (Pasig, 1st District), Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla Baldivia (Caloocan, 1st and 2nd Districts), Enzo Pineda (Quezon City, 5th District), Ali Forbes (Quezon City, 4th District), Priscilla Almeda (Parañaque, 1st District), Ryan Yllana (Parañaque, 2nd District), Mocha Uson and Bong Alvarez (Manila, 3rd District), Neil Coleta (Dasmariñas, Cavite), and Aljur Abrenica (Angeles City, Pampanga).
