Ogie Diaz defends Vilma Santos’ air-conditioned campaign float

SHOWBIZ insider and vlogger Ogie Diaz came to the defense of actress-politician Vilma Santos and her sons Luis Manzano and Ryan Christian Recto who were criticized online for using an air-conditioned truck during their campaign motorcade in Batangas.

In a Facebook post reacting to a PUBLIKO’s report on the family’s campaign activities, Diaz addressed the negative comments that surfaced on social media.

Kalokah!” he wrote.

Diaz urged critics to focus instead on public service.

“Hay, nako! Saka nyo na batikusin kung pag naluklok na eh hindi nyo maramdaman ang tapat na paglilingkod sa mamamayan,” he said.

He also pointed out that some candidates ride uncovered vehicles or make do with handheld fans or electric fans, but are rarely praised based on those gestures alone.

Vilma is running for governor of Batangas, while Luis is seeking the post of vice governor and Ryan Christian is running for congressman.
