SINUYO ng tandem na sina presidential bet Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos at vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte ang mga Ilonggo nang mangampanya ang mga ito sa Iloilo nitong Huwebes.
Alas-10 ng umaga, nagsagawa ng rally sina Marcos at Duterte sa Iloilo Convention Center na matatagpuan sa Iloilo Business Park sa Madurriao.
Samantala, alas-4 ng hapon nang magsagawa naman ng proclamation rally sa Tamasak Arena and Football Field sa Barotac, Nuevo.
Hindi naman natuloy ang proclamation rally ng UniTeam, na nakatakda sana ganap na alas- 2:30 ng hapon sa Guimbal Stadium sa Iloilo.
“The UniTeam organizers, composed of local members of Lakas-CMD, deemed it proper to
postpone their event following the distasteful social media posts by zealous supporters of the rival group against the innocent teachers who provided the venue for the UniTeam event,” sabi ni Atty. Vic Rodriguez, ang tagapagsalita ni Marcos.
“To avert a possible discord between fervent local partisans and the innocent teachers, the UniTeam has decided to agree with the postponement,” dagdag ni Rodriguez.
