PINALAWIG pa ng Pilipinas ang mga travel ban laban sa ibang bansa.
Huling isinama sa listahan ng mga bansa na bawal papasukin sa Pilipinas ay ang Oman at United Arab Emirates (UAE) matapos magpositibo ang dalawang overseas Filipino workers ((OFWs) na nanggaling sa dalawang bansa.
Bukod sa Oman at UAE, pinalawig din ang travel ban sa mga bansang India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh at Sri Lanka hanggang Mayo 31, 2021.
“The Department of Transportation should ensure that airlines are directed not to allow the boarding of passengers who are prohibited from entering the country pursuant to travel restrictions imposed by the Office of the President and IATF resolutions except if they are part of the repatriation efforts of the national government,” sabi ni kautusan ng Inter-Agency Task Force.
