KINONTRA ni Presidential Adviser on Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion ang panawagan ni Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan na magdeklara muli ng enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) o modified (ECQ) sa Metro Manila ngayon na nahaharap ito sa banta ng Delta variant.
“Very clearly, I don’t think the recommendation of Senator Kiko is going to be good for all of us,” pahayag ni Concepcion na una nang nag-giit na dapat pang paluwagin ang restriction upang tuluyang makausad ang takbo ng ekonomiya ng bansa.
“We will really destroy the economy, and eventually Philippines’ will suffer. Our foreign obligations will be challenged. Our debt rating will be challenged. Our balance sheet will be challenged,” dagdag pa nito.
Iginiit pa ni Concepcion na pagbabakuna pa rin ang solusyon para mapigilan ang pagtaas ng kaso ng Covid-19.
“We have to vaccinate everybody in this country, especially NCR Plus which is the target. Iyon ang dapat nating gawin. And everybody has to contribute to this, I mean, as long as there are people unvaccinated, we will always be under a threat,” aniya.
