OFW deployment ban sa Saudi Arabia inalis na


INALIS kahapon ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ang temporary deployment ban sa mga overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) sa Saudi Arabia.


Sa kalatas, sinabi ni Sec. Silvestre Bello III na nagdesisyon siyang alisin na ang ban matapos makatanggap ng sulat mula sa gobyerno ng Saudi Arabia na nagsasabing ang mga dayuhang employers at mga recruitment agencies na ang sasagot sa gastos ng quarantine fee ng mga OFWs.


“After receipt of the official communication from the Saudi government this morning which ensures us that the foreign employers and agencies will shoulder the costs of institutional quarantine and other (COVID-19) protocols upon arrival in the KSA, the temporary suspension of deployment to the Kingdom is hereby lifted,” ani Bello.


Humingi naman siya ng paumanhin sa mga naabalang OFWs na hindi nakaalis ng bansa noong Biyernes.


“Again, I apologize for the inconvenience and momentary anguish that it may have caused our dear OFWs. It was in the best interest of our OFWs that such a decision had to be made,” dagdag niya.
