INIHAYAG ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque na maaari pang mabago ang quarantine status ng Metro Manila kung aapela ang mga mayor.
“That can change,” ani Duque. “As what happens usually is the LGUs after they have been put in a certain risk classification, some of them, they file their appeal to the IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases) and then the IATF looks at and reviews the metrics,” paliwanag ni Duque.
Kahapon ay inanunsyo ni Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Benhur Abalos na payag ang mga alkalde ng Metro Manila na ilagay ang buong rehiyon sa dalawang-linggong enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) dahil sa banta ng Delta variant.
Nasa ilalim ng GCQ “with heightened restrictions” ang Metro Manila hanggang Agosto 15.
