INIUTOS ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Caloocan City ang pag-lockdown sa San Roque Cathedral matapos mamatay ang isang pari dahil sa heart attack at kinalaunan ay nagpositibo sa coronavirus disease.
Namatay si Father Manuel Jadraque Jr., 58, nitong Sabado matapos isugod sa ospital. Siya ay miyembro ng Missionary Society of the Philippines at kamakailan ay bisita ng San Roque Cathedral.
Ayon kay Caloocan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David, sakay ng tricycle si Jadraque mula Monumento patungong San Roque nang makita ito ng driver na mahina at namumutla.
“He was clutching the 50-peso bill which he was going to pay the tricycle driver with,” ayon kay David sa kanyang Facebook post.
Dead on arrival sa ospital ang pari, ayon pa sa Obispo.
Dahil dito, hiniling ni David na isailalim ang pari sa post-mortem swab test at kinalaunan ay nagpositibo ito sa coronavirus disease. Fully vaccinated na umano si Jadraque.
“We have no way of finding out if the heart attack had been triggered by Covid despite the fact that he had been fully vaccinated already,” pahayag ng Obispo.
