ISINAMA na ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) ang France sa mga bansang sakop ng travel ban bunsod ng banta ng bagong Omicron variant.
Sinabi ni Acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles na epektibo ang travel ban mula Disyembre 10 hanggang 15, 2021.
“Passengers who have been to France within 14 days immediately preceding arrival in the Philippines and who arrive on or after 12:01AM of December 10, 2021, but before 12:01A.M. of December 13, 2021, shall be required to undergo facility-based quarantine for 14 days with an RT-PCR test on the 7th day, with day one being the date of arrival. Notwithstanding a negative RT-PCR result, the completion of the 14-day quarantine is required,” sabi ni Nograles.
Nauna nang nagpatupad ng travel ban sa mga bansang nasa red list dahil sa Omicron, kabilang ang South Africa, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini at Mozambique.
