INAASAHAN na maglalabas ang Department of Labor and Employment ng direktiba ngayong linggo na nag-uutos sa mga employer na bayaran ang mga empleyado na nagpositibo sa COVID-19 at dadaan sa isolation at quarantine.
Ito ang tinukoy ngayon ni Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) President at Partylist Rep. Raymond Mendoza.
Ayon kay Mendoza ilalabas ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III ang labor policy matapos ang dialogue sa pagitan ng TUCP at mga labor officials kabilang na si Undersecretary Benjo Benavidez.
“Bello and Undersecretary Benjo Benavidez made the commitment during a 4 p. m. Zoom dialogue meeting this afternoon that the DOLE will issue the policy as soon as possible in the light of the recent exponential surge of number of workers across all industries were exposed to the virus and needs to undergo isolation and quarantine for a prescribed number of days,” ayon sa kalatas na inisyu ng TUCP.
Sa ilalim ng paid isolation at quarantine leave benefit, lahat ng empleyado na kailangan mag-isolate ng ilang araw ngunit hindi naka-confine sa ospital at nagamit na lahat ang kanyang leave benefits ay tatanggap pa rin ng sweldo mula sa kanilang employer.
