NAGBABALA ang Department of Health (DOH) sa publiko laban sa mahigit apat na COVID-19 vaccine, kasabay ang pagsasabing delikado ito sa kalusugan.
Bagamat ligtas ang bakuna, sinabi ni Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire na dapat mag-ingat pa rin ang publiko sa pagtanggap ng maraming doses.
Sinabi niya na nakatanggap sila ng mga ulat na ilang indibidwal ang nakakuha ng apat, lima, at kahit anim na doses ng anti-COVID vaccine.
“What I can say is, it would be dangerous. We have to understand that these vaccines are only in their Phase 3 trials so although it has been approved already, has been studied that it is safe and effective, but we need to monitor for long-term effects of these vaccines,” ani Vergeire.
“We have to be cautious because we still don’t know a lot about these vaccines. We just want to stay within the protocols and the approved guidelines that our experts have given. With these approved guidelines, we are assured that it is going to be safe for us, it is going to be effective for us,” dagdag pa niya.
Iniulat ng DOH nitong Lunes na mahigit 65.6 milyong indibidwal o 72.93 porsyento ng target na populasyon ng gobyerno ang ganap na ngayong nabakunahan laban sa COVID-19.
Samantala, 11.8 milyon ang nakatanggap ng kanilang booster shots matapos maabot ang tatlo hanggang anim na buwang kinakailangan.
